The Active and Intelligent Packaging research team based at Ruakura produces new ideas for clever packaging that both enhances and monitors the quality of products contained within.

Most recently the team designed a convenient four-piece clamshell for use with the RIPESENSE™ technology . This scientifically designed pack serves not only to attractively display fruit, but also co-ordinates, monitors and ultimately controls ripening.
